Mudwings, a group of Mudwings being called a brood or a bask, Dragons of Storgeheart

Description:

Large, round dragons with thick, usually warm, brown or green-ish colored scales, their nostrils are located on the top of their muzzle, they possess tusks which can grow upward or downward. Their eyes can be anywhere from brown, amber, yellow, green or blue. Their horns can be ridged and are usually curved, can be inward, upward or downward. Royalty have crown-shaped spikes on the top of their head.

Abilities:

Great lung capacity, adults are able to hold their breath for up to one hour. They are good swimmer. Their thick scales can protect them of minor damages. If their body temperature is high enough they can breathe fire.

Special abilities:

Sometimes, a clutch is laid and the eggs seem tainted with blood, the dragons hatched from such eggs have red eyes and the ability to resist fire

Lives in:

East of Pyrrhia, before the Tail Peninsula, is a land made out of marches, swamps and fields, it's the home of the Mudwings, called Storgeheart.

Ally in the Sandwing Succesion War:

First allied to Blister, who, along with Queen Coral promised peace between the Mudwings, Sandwings and Seawings, the alliance was broken after the death of one Seawing General and Three Mudwings Generals. Burn immediately sought allyship with Queen Moorhen, with the promise of peace between both tribes for a thousand years if Burn became queen, as well as freedom for the Mudwings held in Queen Scarlet's Arena.

General Details

Humility and Loyalty are the most important values in Mudwing society

This is the reason royals wear mostly jewellery made out of wood, rocks and vines, as Mudwing religion also put a lot of emphasis on nature, this is also done for religious reasons

They all have Bloodstones embedded in their skull to kinda look like a crown, the Queen always have more of course

Moorhen

She/Her, Aroace homophobe

Has gotten more and more anxiety over the years because of the war, scared of what would happen no matter the outcome, she always was a calm dragon that hated drama, she didn't even wanted to be Queen at first, but she was the oldest dragonness of the only heir-clutch and knews that her people was her responsibility, sadly, it didn't stopped Burn and Scarlet pressuring her to make young mudwings participate in the war, she will probably never feel rest again, feeling as if any death on the battlefield wasn't the other's fault but her own, after the war she immediately try to find someone to have a clutch with so Mudwings can soon have a new (and in her mind, better) Queen

She used to love carving things, when she was still allied to Blister and Coral she was very friendly to Orca and adored the dragonnet, she was the one to teach her carving and sculpting

Corncrake

He/Him, Aroace

Like most of his siblings, he is on the more calm and reserved side, he's clumsy, loving but can come of as dumb, he loves dragonnets and would often be kept out of the battlefields because he wouldn't be able to fight child-soldiers, he's more happy and open since the end of the war, he's probably one of the most enthusiastic noble when it comes to the Jade Mountain Academy, He actually tried befriending Smolder, Singe, Scald alongside Scarlet's Sons, He really liked Gill back when they were still allies with the Seawings

He loves gardening and scattered many little vegetables and fruit gardens along the Palace and it's roofs, it's free for anyone to take from them

Spottedcrake

She/Her, Aroace

She was always a passionate and dramatic dragon, she's fiery, can be whiney and will not stop until she get what she wants, this may seem like very negative things but it actually saved the kingdom more then once, as she was often there when Moorhen was too scared to speak up, She viciously hated Scarlet and Coral with all of her heart and had a hard time not smiling when she heard the news of Scarlet's venom accident, she can be quite resentful

She loves Painting, not particularly "good" at it but she still loves it

Coot

He/It, Pansexual Aromatic

He's full of life and doesn't notices or maybe not care what other thinks of it's antics, He was rarely at any diplomatic meeting because even though Scarlet thought him hilarious, Burn wanted nothing more then to strangle it, he's overly curious, often offending people without really wanting or noticing it, he's all over the place

Loves Math and counting things, anything related to number is given to him to deal with

Rail

They/Them, Biromantic Asexual

Rail doesn't speak much, why would they, their actions speak for themselves, after Moorhen, they are probably the best warrior in the group, they're a good strategist, but have an hard time explaining things verbally, being better with written words and schematics, Burn actually liked them

Outside of battle, they love to writte poetry and small stories, anything related to paperwork goes to them

From what I can gather/other people have said this could possibly be a corncrake or a clapper rail, but it DEFINITELY isn't a crow like. At all. Crows are passerines and basically like 99% of all passerine birds are altricial (meaning when they hatch they're those bald little ugly thangs that rely completely on their parents for everything) so if the op knew the most basic shit about birds instead of straight up lying they probably wouldn't have made this post

That's a corncrake chick, not a crow chick.

Crow chicks are much more goofy looking:

They're both black as chicks, but corncrakes grow up to be very different looking birds. They are also rails, not corvids.
